Department of Mechanical Engineering

Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a 4 years (8 semesters) B.E. course in Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 60 students. The department has well experienced faculty members with active involvement in R & D projects.

To achieve excellent standards of quality education by keeping pace with rapidly changing technologies and to create technical manpower of global standards in mechanical engineering with capabilities of accepting new challenges.

Dr.T.Rangaswamy,B.E. from Malnad College of Engineering (MCE), Hassan in 1990, M.Sc. (Engg.) from University of Mysore in 1997 and Ph.D. from PSGTECH, Coimbatore in 2005. Earlier he served at MCE, Hassan from 1990-2010. His areas of interest are Design Optimization, Composite materials, FEA and CAD/CAM. He has 13 international and 11 national publications to his credit.

He has 2 years of industrial experience and 13 of teaching experience. His areas of interest are heat transfer, composites, computational fluid dynamics. Dr. Manjunath K. obtained his B.E. from Malnad College of Engineering (MCE), Hassan, under Mysore University in 1997, M.Tech.in Computer Integrated Manufacturing, from VTU, Belgaum in 2002 and obtained Ph.D. from VTU, Belgaum in 2012. He has 17 Years of teaching experience and 14 years of Research. His areas of interest are CAD/CAM/CAE and Virtual Prototyping. He has 38 international and national publications to his credit. He is Guiding 6 Ph.D students and 2 MSc.(Engg.) students. Presently he is the Research and PG Coordinator.
